Richland Bank announces three promotions
MANSFIELD, Ohio – Richland Bank President, Chris Hiner, announced the following promotions on June 28th:
Vicky Garcia has been promoted to Administrative Officer. She joined Richland Bank in December 2009 as a Retail Associate. The following year she was promoted to Branch Manager at Kroger Lexington. In 2013, Vicky was promoted to Administrative Manager and in January 2015 was asked to manage the Ashland Road branch.
Vicky is a graduate of Richland Bank’s Retail Associate Program and volunteers her time with the Lucas Booster Club and Reality Days at various area middle schools.
Debbie Sweet has been promoted to Banking Officer. She started her banking career with Richland Bank in August, 1988 as a part-time teller and soon after was hired full time. Within a year, she became Head Teller and then was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager. In 2000, she was promoted to Banking Center Manager. Over the years she has worked at several of banking center locations. In November, 2005 she joined the Mortgage Loan Department. Debbie is a mortgage lender and supports all banking centers with mortgage lending.
Debbie has been the recipient of two outstanding achievement awards: Richland Bank’s Pinnacle Award in 2003 and the TWIN Award in 2009. Debbie served as a committee chair for Relay for Life for eleven years and currently serves on the Mansfield Board of Realtors STARS committee.
Ryan Smith has been promoted to Banking Officer. He began his career at Richland Bank as a Management Associate in 2010. Upon completion of the program in October 2011, Ryan’s first placement was as manager at the Kroger Madison Banking Center. He was promoted to Administrative Manager in September 2012. A move to the Ashland Road Banking Center took place in November 2012 and a promotion to Administrative Officer soon followed. In January, 2015 Ryan joined the Consumer Loan department with responsibilities in mortgage loan origination as well as indirect and direct consumer loan financing.
Ryan is active supporting the United Way as a board member and serves on its finance committee. He was a founding member of Richland Young Professionals (RYP) and is still an active member acting as coordinator for the annual golf outing. Ryan also participates in several internal bank initiatives. He is a graduate of Richland Bank’s Retail Associate Program. In a continued commitment to education and development, Ryan is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League Bank Management School and will be attending the Wisconsin School of Banking this summer.
